I wasn’t entirely sold on the second episode, but I decided to watch it all the way to the end. Cohen’s adaptations seem to follow a pattern of largely unrelated or overly complicated plots that come together neatly in the final episode. While the previous ones were pretty good, this one felt really weak in comparison. There wasn’t much plot in this episode, and all the “aha” moments were crammed into the last episode – typical Cohen from what I’ve seen. The acting was good and the characters weren’t terrible, but the story just wasn’t compelling or engaging. It was more like getting to the end. I wouldn’t say don’t watch it, but if you have other options in your queue, I’d definitely put it before this one.
