When maple syrup farmer Ruth Landry finds her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. The plot is based on the theft of maple syrup worth 18 million dollars from a warehouse in Quebec in 2011-2012; Five people were sentenced to prison terms.
I did not understand that this is the “first season”
falls apart. I was convinced that this is a finished story told in 6 parts.
Because of that, it’s not enough, it leaves you in limbo, and it’s too long
The cast and production are great, but it’s like in the original “Twin Peaks”: as soon as the “big crime” is revealed, the story is over. Trying to focus on extraneous storylines becomes excruciating, no matter how much we enjoy spending time with these quirky characters.

I realize I should spice up this review with corny jokes, but maples are always sad because they’re so corny… One Hundred Years of Loneliness is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
